Staffed by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart and situated in scenic West Cork, Myross Wood House nestles among 100 acres of mixed woodland and pastures flanked by streams, tidal rivers and the sea. It is a haven of peace and tranquillity, inviting you to come apart for a while to a quiet place and to discover the presence of God in your life. Our grounds and gardens are very beautiful. We hope you will also find something to interest you in our programme for 2011, which offers opportunities for reflection and prayer to laity, religious and clergy alike.

During the quieter months from September to Easter, many individuals and groups come to avail of our facilities, either for residential events, or just for a day or an evening. We welcome school children and young adults to enjoy an annual retreat or a day in preparation for special moments in their lives. We naturally have many contacts with the people in the surrounding area of West Cork. People come here to Mass every morning. They also come for meetings of parish groups or for the educational programmes of the diocese of Cork and Ross.  People come from far and wide to take part in our published programmes or to enjoy a quiet time for thinking and sharing in the daily liturgy of the community.

We are now happy to welcome you to Myross Wood through this new website. If you have not been here, it will give you some introduction into who we are and what we have to offer you.
